The Role

We are seeking a Merchandiser with 5+ years of experience in leather goods who can manage the complete lifecycle of orders from initial buyer engagement through production execution and final delivery.

This role sits at the center of coordination between international buyers, internal development teams and manufacturing operations. You will ensure that design intent, production capability and commercial objectives are aligned throughout the product journey.

Your role will require strong judgement in sourcing, costing, scheduling and communication with multiple stakeholders. You will learn how timelines are managed across departments and how product commitments are delivered with precision.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the end-to-end order execution process from buyer inquiry to shipment
• Coordinating with sourcing teams to procure leather, hardware and accessories aligned with quality and costing targets
• Working closely with product development and production teams to ensure timely sample development and production readiness
• Monitoring production timelines and resolving operational challenges to maintain delivery commitments
• Communicating directly with buyers on order status, revisions, approvals and delivery schedules
• Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the development and production cycle
• Reviewing cost structures and identifying opportunities for efficiency without compromising product integrity
• Maintaining accurate documentation for orders, materials, approvals and shipment details

This role requires operational discipline, commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple timelines across international product cycles.

The Profile

• 3+ years of experience in within leather goods or export manufacturing

• Strong understanding of leather materials, accessories and manufacturing processes

• Experience managing international buyers and seasonal product development timelines

• Confidence working with costing structures, sourcing decisions and production planning

• Strong coordination skills across development, sourcing and manufacturing teams

• Proficiency in order tracking processes

• Fluent in English and Hindi

Location

Full-time role based in Kolkata. Relocation required if not currently based here.
