Job Overview:

The Python and PHP Skill Manager will oversee the development and performance of the Python and PHP teams. Responsibilities include mentoring, recruitment, gap analysis, ensuring well-defined KRAs, performing audits, and maintaining coding standards and documentation.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Team Mentorship and Development:
  • Mentor and guide Python and PHP developers to enhance technical skills and career growth.
  • Facilitate upskilling and cross-skilling opportunities for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the teams.
  • Recruitment and Staffing:
  • Own the recruitment process for Python and PHP resources, from job posting to interviewing and onboarding.
  • Ensure the selection of high-quality candidates who fit the company’s technical and cultural standards.
  • Performance Management:
  • Conduct regular gap analysis and assessments to identify areas for improvement and development.
  • Define and implement Key Result Areas (KRAs) for team members to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Monitor performance and provide feedback to help team members achieve their KRAs.
  • Perform Performance Coaching Plans (PCP) for low-performing resources.
  • Auditing and Code Hygiene:
  • Perform audits on projects to ensure code hygiene and adherence to coding standards.
  • Review project documentation to ensure comprehensive project onboarding plans, KT plans, project architecture documents, and code hygiene checklists are maintained.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and execute strategies to maintain a balanced team structure and ensure the organizational pyramid is maintained.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align development efforts with overall business objectives.


  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring development teams, particularly in Python and PHP.
  • Strong expertise in Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask) and PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
  • In-depth understanding of server-side templating languages and ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries.
  • Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies relevant to both Python and PHP environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Other Qualifications:
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Good to Have:
  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Exposure to microservices architecture.

Hands-on experience in “TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn” “Machine Learning” “Object Relational Mapper” “Artificial Intelligence”
