We are looking for a dynamic and execution-focused Learning & Development Trainer who can own the complete training lifecycle — from content creation and training design to on-ground execution and impact measurement across retail stores.
Role Overview
The Learning & Development Trainer will be responsible for building and executing engaging training programs for retail teams across categories such as Beauty & Personal Care, Health & Wellness, Fashion & Lifestyle, Footwear, and Customer Experience.
This role requires someone who is highly energetic, creative, tech-savvy, and capable of managing both strategy and execution. The ideal candidate should be comfortable creating training content, conducting sessions on the retail floor, driving employee engagement, and ensuring training translates into business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Training Design & Content Creation
- Design and develop retail training modules, SOPs, learning decks, quizzes, and certification programs.
- Create engaging content for product knowledge, customer service, grooming, sales techniques, culture, and operational processes.
- Develop category-wise training frameworks and learning journeys.
- Create digital learning content including videos, reels, snippets, gamified learning, and micro-learning modules.
- Simplify complex product and category knowledge into easy-to-understand training material.
Training Delivery & Execution
- Conduct classroom and on-floor training sessions for retail store employees.
- Execute induction and onboarding training for new joiners.
- Drive refresher training programs and continuous capability-building initiatives.
- Ensure training calendars are planned and executed effectively across locations.
- Support store launches and ensure teams are trained before go-live.
Retail Capability Building
- Train teams on customer interaction, consultation selling, upselling, cross-selling, and experience-driven retail.
- Conduct brand and product training across categories.
- Build training interventions based on business gaps, mystery audits, customer feedback, and performance trends.
- Ensure retail teams are aligned with Broadway’s culture, values, and customer-first philosophy.
Engagement & Culture
- Drive fun, high-energy learning initiatives on the retail floor.
- Execute sales contests, learning challenges, and engagement activities.
- Build a strong feedback culture through assessments, coaching, and follow-ups.
- Partner with HR and Store Teams to improve employee experience and performance.
Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain training trackers, attendance records, certifications, and learning dashboards.
- Measure training effectiveness through assessments, audits, productivity, and sales impact.
- Share monthly training reports and improvement plans.

Preferred Background
- 3–6 years of experience in Retail L&D, Training, or HR.
- Experience in retail, beauty, fashion, wellness, lifestyle, or hospitality industries preferred.
- Prior experience in content creation and training execution is mandatory.
- Experience handling store teams and multiple retail locations is a plus.
