Role Description The Lean Manufacturing Consultant will work on-site in Bhilwara in a full-time capacity, partnering with client teams to design and implement lean initiatives across manufacturing operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting diagnostic studies on shop-floor processes, mapping value streams, analyzing data to identify waste and bottlenecks, and facilitating workshops on lean tools and best practices. The consultant will develop and roll out standardized processes, visual management systems, and performance dashboards to improve OEE, throughput, quality, and cost efficiency. The role involves close collaboration with production, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to drive problem-solving, implement improvement charters, and sustain gains through governance routines and coaching. The consultant is expected to document project progress, track KPIs, and contribute to knowledge building for ZBT’s Zero-based Business Transformation methodology.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Operational Excellence and Business Process Improvement to design, implement, and sustain performance-enhancing initiatives.
- Candidates should possess hands-on expertise in Lean Management and Operations Management to lead shop-floor transformations, reduce waste, and improve flow.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Industrial Engineering to analyze work methods, line balancing, layouts, and capacity utilization.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors (e.g., steel, textiles, capital goods, automotive, FMCG) with demonstrated impact on OEE, quality, throughput, or cost.
- Ability to work on-site with client teams, facilitate workshops, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field; a postgraduate degree in management or operations is an advantage.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools, basic statistical methods, and use of KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance.
