</ul><div><strong>Your Role as an Assistant Teacher</strong></div><div>As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll work closely with the <strong>Lead Teacher</strong> to deliver a nurturing, safe, and educational classroom environment for infants, toddlers, or preschool-age children. You’ll help implement <strong>play-based learning activities</strong>, manage classroom routines, and provide individualized attention that supports each child’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.<br><br>
</div><div><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></div><ul>
<li>Support daily routines including <strong>circle time, story time, snack, outdoor play, and rest time</strong>
</li>
<li>Assist with <strong>lesson planning and curriculum implementation</strong> based on children’s developmental needs and interests</li>
<li>Supervise children during classroom transitions, group play, and hands-on activities</li>
<li>Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment aligned with <strong>state licensing regulations</strong>
</li>
<li>Encourage independence, self-help skills, and social interaction through <strong>positive guidance strategies</strong>
</li>
<li>Observe and document children’s behavior and milestones for communication with families and the teaching team</li>
<li>Provide age-appropriate support for <strong>infants, toddlers, or preschoolers</strong>, depending on assigned classroom</li>
<li>Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive, inclusive early childhood learning environment</li>
</ul><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><ul>
<li>Previous experience in <strong>child care, preschool, daycare, or toddler education</strong> (preferred)</li>
<li>Understanding of <strong>child development principles</strong> and <strong>developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)</strong>
</li>
<li>Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and a <strong>team-oriented mindset</strong>
</li>
<li>Ability to multitask, follow classroom structure, and adapt to children’s needs</li>
<li>High school diploma or GED required</li>
<li>CDA or enrollment in Early Childhood Education courses (preferred but not required)</li>
