Lead SoC Architect
LeadIC is looking for an experienced Lead SoC Architect to define the architecture and technical direction for next-generation semiconductor products. This role requires expertise in complex SoC architecture, subsystem integration, performance modeling, and cross-functional collaboration across hardware, software, firmware, and system engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define top-level SoC architecture and subsystem partitioning.
- Drive architectural trade-off analysis across performance, power, area (PPA), bandwidth, latency, and scalability.
- Develop architecture specifications, interface definitions, and microarchitecture requirements.
- Define memory hierarchy, cache architecture, coherency strategy, and NoC/interconnect architecture.
- Lead performance modeling and workload analysis using C/C++/SystemC.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party IPs including CPU, GPU, NPU, PCIe, DDR/LPDDR, Ethernet, multimedia, and security IPs.
- Collaborate with RTL, verification, firmware, software, and physical design teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Define architectural validation strategies and support silicon bring-up, debug, and performance optimization.
- Contribute to long-term SoC technology roadmap and architectural planning.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in SoC architecture, ASIC development, or complex semiconductor system design.
- Strong expertise in SoC architecture and subsystem integration.
- Experience with architecture modeling using C/C++/SystemC.
- Strong understanding of RTL and microarchitecture concepts.
- Knowledge of NoC, cache coherency, memory hierarchy, and high-speed interfaces.
- Experience with performance analysis and architecture optimization.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- AI Accelerator, GPU, Networking, or RISC-V SoC architecture.
- Chiplet or multi-die architecture.
- PCIe, CXL, UCIe, DDR5, LPDDR5X, or HBM.
- Silicon bring-up and post-silicon optimization.
- FPGA prototyping or emulation.
- Linux driver or system software architecture.
- Technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
