Position: Maintenance Technician III

Position Purpose: Maintenance Technician III is responsible for "first line" response to breakdowns and repair production equipment after stoppage occurs. Also responsible for collecting and assisting with documentation of repair details, as directed by their Team Leader and/or Maintenance Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
- Works safely at all times.
- Conduct all work activities in an exemplary safe manner
- Maintain workspace in a safe and orderly fashion, adhering to all 5S standards
- Perform PM tasks according to Maximo work orders
- Accurately log task and equipment info into Maximo CMMS system
- Complete corrective work tasks and log into Maximo as corrective work orders
- Respond to emergency Maintenance needs by Production Team
- Identify and implement PM improvements and Safety improvements
- Participate in training to increase knowledge about customer affected equipment
- Receive, respond to, and implement customer feedback, directives, opportunities for improvement, etc.
- Ensure excellent Leadec customer-service level provided to customer
- Responsible for leading efforts in root cause analysis, problem solving, and elimination of recurring issues. Priority will be critical equipment that has greatest impact on downtime.
- Responsible for high-level support as needed for breakdowns and repair of general service production and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Responsible for training other Leadec technicians on how to perform assigned preventative and predictive maintenance assigned by supervision or management.
- Assist management with maintaining compliance and prioritization of preventative and reactive maintenance work orders.
- Ability to provide rapid response to breakdowns during scheduled shifts on general production equipment with highly automated and PLC controlled equipment.
- Correct any mechanical, electrical or programming issues associated with the automated systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automated equipment:
- PLC
- AC/DC Drive Systems
- Hydraulic Systems
- Robotic Systems
- Work from mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and ladder logic displays, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. Ability to update as built drawings.
- Provide leadership, strategy, and direction for the site's reliability program.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts to eliminate repeat asset-failure events.
- Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.

- Ability to program and commission equipment (Robots, PLC, AC/DC Drives, Safety Scanners, Buss Networks, etc.)
- Prepare and set up equipment for production after repair.
- Under minimal directions, work directly from work order.
- Perform scheduled PM's as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Skilled in Root Cause based maintenance practices.
- Problem resolution experience.
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical theory.
- AC/DC motor controls and PLC control logic.
- Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

- Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is high). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch.
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.
- Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment> with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
