About the Role
We are looking for a Workday Finance Functional Lead with 6–9 years of experience to
drive end-to-end Workday Financials implementations. This is a client-facing role
requiring strong expertise in solution design, configuration, and delivery, along with the
ability to translate financial business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
Key Responsibilities
● End-to-End Implementation Ownership
Lead Workday Financials implementations across full lifecycle (design →
configuration → testing → deployment).
● Core Finance & P2P Expertise
Work extensively on Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and core financial modules, including:
○ Supplier Accounts / Contracts
○ Procurement
○ Accounts Payable (AP)
○ Fixed Assets
○ Banking & Settlement
○ Inventory
● Solution Design & Configuration
Translate business requirements into functional designs and configure Workday
Financial modules accordingly.
● Global Deployment Exposure
Support multi-country implementations with understanding of local compliance, tax,
and regulatory requirements.
● Testing & Issue Resolution
Lead functional testing cycles, identify issues, and drive resolution with stakeholders.
● Stakeholder Management
Act as a bridge between business teams and technical teams, ensuring alignment
and delivery.
● Pre-Sales Support
Assist in estimations, solutioning, and proposal support for new opportunities.
Required Experience & Skills
● 6–9 years of experience in Workday Finance Functional roles
● Minimum 1–2 end-to-end Workday Financials implementations as a Lead or
Senior Consultant
● Strong hands-on experience in:
○ Core Financials
○ P2P (Procure-to-Pay)
○ FDM (Financial Data Model)
● Experience in:
○ Supplier Accounts / Contracts
○ Procurement
○ AP, Fixed Assets
○ Banking & Settlement
○ Inventory
● Good understanding of:
○ Business process design
○ Testing methodologies
○ Risk identification & mitigation
Preferred Skills
● Exposure to global/multi-country implementations
● Experience in:
○ Budgets & Financial Reporting
○ Banking, Taxes
○ Business Assets
● Hands-on experience in:
○ Workday data migration (EIB, iLoads)
○ Report development
Certifications (Mandatory)
● Workday Certified in one or more:
○ Financial Core
○ Workday Financials (Practical / Essentials)
○ Workday P2P
