The Lead Technician oversees the hands-on fabrication, assembly, and testing of inflatable rubber boats and RIBs.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication: Perform and supervise precision cutting, cold/hot vulcanization, and seam-bonding using heavy-duty marine fabrics (Hypalon, PVC).
Assembly & Integration: Install transoms, valves, and accessories, and bond inflatable collars to fiberglass or aluminum hulls.
Quality Control: Lead mandatory 24-hour air-retention, pressure, and leak testing to ensure absolute airtight integrity.
Team Leadership: Manage shop floor workflows, maintain material traceability logs, and train junior technicians in precise assembly techniques.
Key Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience in inflatable boat or heavy-duty industrial rubber manufacturing.
Deep expertise in two-part marine adhesives, chemical curing agents, and blueprint reading.
