Job Title: Lead Appian Developer

Role Overview

• Lead and expand the use of the Appian platform across business functions
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Provide technical leadership, strategic direction, and hands‑on development
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to drive innovation and operational excellence

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of Appian applications
• Gather and analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions
• Design and build data models and robust integrations with external systems and middleware
• Define architecture and development standards aligned with Appian and WNS Vuram best practices
• Conduct regular code reviews and ensure high‑quality delivery
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and performance optimization, especially for high‑volume applications
• Mentor and manage a team of Appian developers and analysts
• Manage key stakeholders and ensure alignment with business objectives
• Drive innovation by leveraging new Appian features, tools, and methodologies
• Hands‑on experience with Appian capabilities:
• Process modeling, UI, expressions, plugins, sites, portals, records (Data Fabric)
• Embedded Appian, SSO/LDAP, Admin Console, logs
• Lead UAT, manage deployments, and oversee Appian upgrades
• Build PoCs, demos, and technical solution documents
• Estimate projects based on RFPs and high‑level requirements
• Coordinate with on‑shore and off‑shore teams
• Support infrastructure setup for on‑premises environments
• Run Agile sprint ceremonies and follow Agile best practices

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Appian BPM
• Proficiency in database concepts (stored procedures, views, triggers, performance tuning)
• Experience with J2EE, .NET, and RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server)
• Working knowledge of Networks and Operating Systems (Windows, Linux)
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban)

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / MIS or related field
• 6+ years of total experience
• 4–5 years of hands‑on Appian development experience
• 1–2 years of team leadership experience
• Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with global stakeholders
• Willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Appian Senior / Lead Developer Certification
• Exposure to GenAI, AI, RPA, IDP, DevOps, Process Mining
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example
