Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Lead (Individual Contributor) is responsible for driving end-to-end recruitment for the department / division for India region by partnering closely with business leaders and external recruitment partners to source, assess, and hire high-quality talent. The role provides practical insights on India-specific workforce trends, candidate behaviors, and market dynamics to global stakeholders to help shape effective hiring strategies. A key responsibility includes overseeing and managing external recruitment partners to ensure strong performance and high service quality.
Responsibilities
▪ Act as a recruitment partner to business leaders and hiring managers and provides comprehensive support and coaching to line managers for recruitment needs.
▪ Build awareness among global stakeholders, especially leaders and teams outside India on Indiaspecific workforce trends, candidate motivations, market behaviors, availability of skills, and cultural nuances that influence hiring decisions.
▪ Provide oversight and management of external recruitment partners, ensuring high performance, adherence to SLAs, quality of candidate submissions, and seamless collaboration for niche, senior, or high-volume hiring needs.
▪ Conduct detailed intake meetings, understand role requirements, define sourcing strategy, and provide market intelligence.
▪ Manage requisition intake and monitor sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessments services provided by the external recruitment vendors.
▪ Involve in the compensation discussions, fitment, offer negotiations and acceptance for successful conversions of candidates
▪ Complete the offer management process and onboarding system requirements to ensure Day 1 onboarding readiness of offered candidates
▪ Influence and guide internal stakeholders and business managers on hiring decisions, timelines, and talent availability.
▪ Directly work on end-to-end recruitment of critical, niche roles.
▪ Collaborate with HR Operations, Total Rewards, for approvals and alignment with compensation guidelines.
▪ Ensure a smooth pre-boarding to onboarding transition ensuring Day 1 onboarding is run smoothly
▪ Liaise with external recruitment agencies for specialized roles.
▪ Track vendor performance, SLAs, and ensure quality of submissions.
▪ Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency improvements.
▪ Support implementation of best practices in hiring, graduate programs, and structured recruitment programs.
Qualifications
Education:
▪ Bachelor’s Degree is a must.
▪ Reporting and dashboard capability (Excel / Workday reports / Power BI)
Experience
▪ Previous experience of 12 + years and above in progressive experience in Talent Acquisition
▪ Experience managing external recruitment partners/vendors with accountability for SLA performance and quality of hires.
▪ Demonstrated ability to provide India-specific talent market insights to global or cross-border stakeholders.
▪ Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, data analysis functions, validations).
Skills
▪ Strong numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
▪ Strong oral and written communication skills
▪ Knowledge of labor market practices within India
▪ Prior experience in working and handling sensitive employee data securely
▪ Experience in working with 3rd party partners.
▪ Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products – intermediate / advanced excel.
▪ Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual contributor or member of the team
▪ Demonstrate strong stakeholder partnership skills with the ability to influence hiring decisions.
