Role Description The Lead Solar Installer is responsible for supervising and executing rooftop solar installations for residential and commercial customers in Moradabad. This full-time, on-site role includes planning daily installation activities, leading installation crews, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high-quality workmanship. The role involves performing site assessments, interpreting system designs and electrical layouts, mounting solar panels and structures, managing wiring and connections under the guidance of qualified electricians, and testing system performance. The Lead Solar Installer will coordinate with project managers, vendors, and customers, maintain tools and equipment, document work completion, and support troubleshooting, maintenance, and after-sales service. The position also requires mentoring junior installers and promoting best practices in solar installation and customer service.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of solar power and solar systems, including rooftop PV installations and basic electrical concepts.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during installation and maintenance work.
- Understanding of the solar industry, including common components, installation standards, and local regulations.
- Experience leading installation teams, planning work schedules, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, system designs, and manufacturer documentation.
- Prior experience in solar installation, electrical work, or related field; vocational training or certification in solar or electrical systems is an advantage.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work at heights, on rooftops, and in outdoor conditions.
- Effective communication skills in English and Hindi, with a customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to work on-site in Moradabad and travel to nearby project locations as needed.
