Role Description The Lead Solar Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ghaziabad. This position oversees the installation of solar power systems, including planning layouts, supervising installation teams, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and in line with technical standards. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project designs, organizing materials and tools, guiding junior installers, performing quality checks, and coordinating with project managers or engineers on technical issues. The role also involves testing system performance, troubleshooting installation and wiring problems, maintaining site documentation, and communicating progress and site conditions to internal stakeholders and clients. The Lead Solar Installer is expected to promote safe work practices, uphold company quality standards, and support continuous improvement in installation processes.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of solar power generation and solar systems, including on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solutions.
- Hands-on experience working in the solar industry, with familiarity with residential, commercial, and industrial installations.
- Proficiency in using power tools for installation, mounting, and electrical work on solar projects.
- Skilled in handling hand tools safely and efficiently for mechanical and electrical tasks at project sites.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
- Understanding of basic electrical principles, safety standards, and relevant codes or regulations.
- Prior experience leading field teams or supervising installation crews on construction or energy projects.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with clients, team members, and project managers.
- Physical ability to work at heights and outdoors, and to handle equipment and materials safely.
- Diploma, ITI, or equivalent technical qualification in electrical, electronics, or related field preferred; relevant work experience may substitute.
