About the Role:
We are looking for a Team Lead who can operate at the intersection of hands-on engineering and technical leadership.
In this role, you will actively contribute to building scalable systems while also leading key technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and partnering closely with Product and leadership to shape the technical roadmap.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Solid experience in architecture and API design
- Prior experience in mentoring or leading lean teams
- Strong expertise in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem
- Proficiency with React / Next.js for frontend development.
- Hands-on with MySQL and MongoDB (relational + NoSQL systems)
- Experience designing scalable, high-performance systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and deployment practices
- Understanding of caching, load balancing, and distributed systems
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Key Responsibilities:
Hands-on Development
- Design, build, and maintain scalable systems and APIs
- Write clean, efficient, and production-grade code (Node.js / TypeScript preferred)
- Proficiency with React / Next.js for frontend development.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js frameworks (NestJS, Fastify, or Express).
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of systems
- Work on database design, query optimization, and caching strategies
- Integrate third-party services and APIs
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system stability
Technical Leadership
- Own system design and architecture decisions (modular monolith / microservices)
- Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices
- Mentor and guide team in their technical growth
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Drive Agile processes, sprint planning, and execution
- Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks and improve development velocity
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and team scaling
