About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer specializing in Automation Testing and Java Coding to join our Operations & Technology Fraud Products team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our Decision Management Platform, which plays a critical role in combating fraud and verifying cardholder identities. Our platform is a Java-based, high-performance system capable of processing billions of transactions monthly within milliseconds, utilizing a multi-tiered, message-oriented architecture that ensures high availability and scalability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on automation testing, performance optimization, and delivering innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Between 9 to 12 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering complex enterprise solutions.
- Deep expertise in Java programming, with hands-on experience in developing high-performance applications.
- Proficiency with automation testing tools such as Selenium and WebDriver.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with Oracle databases.
- Experience with performance testing in high-volume, high-availability environments.
- Familiarity with IBM ILOG/ODM, Pivotal Gemfire Grid, and other enterprise frameworks.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, including working with tools like Rally and Confluence.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues creatively.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
- Experience mentoring team members and leading technical initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver robust software solutions aligned with business requirements and Mastercard standards.
- Collaborate closely with technical leads and cross-functional teams to assist in designing and implementing new features and capabilities.
- Drive the adoption and implementation of UI technologies and best practices across development teams.
- Act as a subject matter expert in resolving production support issues, incidents, and problem tickets swiftly and effectively.
- Plan, design, and execute technical solutions, including performance benchmarking, release rollout, deployment plans, and contingency strategies.
- Lead daily system development activities, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and delivering high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective solutions.
- Coordinate offshore development teams, managing their daily activities to meet project milestones and quality standards.
- Manage the full system development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, use-case creation, design documentation, and technical artifacts.
- Participate in proof-of-concept initiatives, vendor evaluations, and technology selection processes.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to support product support and enhancement efforts.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, including brownbag seminars on emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Ensure comprehensive knowledge transfer of new technologies and methodologies to team members through training and mentoring.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and increased efficiency within the development lifecycle.
- Participate actively in Agile SAFe ceremonies, including discovery and elaboration sessions, requirements reviews, and security assessments.
