Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer – SAP ABAP to design, develop, and enhance complex SAP applications. The role involves technical leadership, solution design, and mentoring teams, ensuring delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance SAP solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Development
- Design, develop, and optimize advanced SAP ABAP programs and applications
- Create detailed technical specifications aligned with business requirements
- Develop and enhance reports, interfaces, BAPIs, IDOCs, and enhancements (User Exits, BADIs)
- Collaborate with functional teams to design and implement solutions
- Support testing phases (functional, regression, UAT) and ensure quality delivery
- Ensure compliance with security and audit standards
Leadership & Support
- Mentor and guide development teams, ensuring code quality and best practices
- Lead resolution of complex technical issues and escalations
- Drive continuous improvements in application performance and delivery processes
- Support application lifecycle, including upgrades, patches, and enhancements
- Collaborate with stakeholders for requirement analysis and solution planning
Required Skills & Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in SAP ABAP development
- Strong expertise in ABAP programming, debugging, and performance optimization
- Hands-on experience in enhancements, interfaces, and integrations
- Experience in leading teams and managing end-to-end development cycles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to create technical design documents and perform gap analysis
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of S/4HANA and modern SAP technologies
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Understanding of SAP security and compliance standards
- SAP ABAP certification is a plus
Qualification
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
