Role Description
At Futran, we are building next-generation autonomous pod mobility systems. We are looking for a Backend Tech Lead / Engineering Manager to drive the development of our Traffic Management System (TMS) and high-fidelity simulation platform for real-world deployment. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Pune Division.

Key Responsibilities
- Architect and scale a high-performance Node.js backend for TMS (Launch Control, Jobcard Manager, Pod Allocation, Passenger Flow)
- Develop Python/FastAPI-based simulation systems to validate real-time traffic control, scheduling, and safety logic
- Design and implement advanced algorithms for routing, scheduling, queue management, and dynamic re-routing
- Translate complex operational rules into efficient, production-grade algorithmic solutions
- Bridge backend logic and simulation systems to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Work with embedded real-time systems to align simulation and on-ground behavior
- Deploy and manage scalable microservices using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Enable large-scale parallel simulation for validation and performance testing
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Node.js (event-driven architecture, concurrency, high-throughput systems)
- Strong expertise in Python (simulation, mathematical modeling, FastAPI)
- Proven experience in real-time systems, traffic management, scheduling engines, or control systems
- Strong background in algorithms, data structures, and system design with ability to convert complex rules into optimized code
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architecture
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
Good to Have
- Experience with embedded real-time systems integration
- Exposure to GPU computing / parallel processing (CUDA, NVIDIA Jetson)
- Background in autonomous systems, mobility, EV, or robotics
