Role Title: SDET II
Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented SDET to join our quality engineering team. This role requires strong experience in test automation, microservices testing, and enterprise platforms such as Salesforce. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on expertise with tools like Playwright and Postman, and a passion for delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions.
Candidate will work across multiple products & engineering teams to deliver incremental value against Loyalty Platform roadmap. Perform research, analysis, design, creation, and implementation of applications to meet current and future user requirements. Help develop proof-of-concept implementations to help evaluate cutting-edge technology to drive and meet Marriott business & technology objectives. Candidate must have the ability to communicate upward to superiors and laterally to other departments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated test frameworks for Salesforce applications, including UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and execute automated tests for microservices-based architectures, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Utilize Playwright for model-based test automation, including test case design, execution, and maintenance.
- Perform API testing using Postman, validating service contracts, data flows, and integration points.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA analysts to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Monitor test execution, analyze failures, and provide actionable feedback to development teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives
Skill and Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce testing, including declarative and programmatic components will be a big plus
- Good understanding of microservices architecture and testing strategies for distributed systems.
- Experience with Postman for API testing and automation.
- Proficient in leveraging Postman for API testing, validation, and automation.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with leading test automation frameworks and tools, including Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, and JMeter, with proficiency in at least one modern automation platform such as Selenium or Playwright, along with test data management solutions
- Ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable automated testing solutions across UI, API, and performance testing domains.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for quality.
Education and Certifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience/certification
