Job Title: Lead SAP Commerce Developer – On-Prem to SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) Migration
Location: Remote (India)
Type: Contract
Role Overview
We are looking for a
Senior / Lead SAP Commerce Developer (10+ years experience) who has
personally executed a full migration from On-Premise SAP Commerce to SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2).
This role requires
hands-on technical leadership, including platform upgrades, JDK upgrades, database synchronization strategies, media migration, and production cutover planning. The ideal candidate must have
real-world experience resolving issues encountered during upgrades and cloud migration projects, not just theoretical knowledge.
Core Responsibilities
- SAP Commerce Cloud Migration Execution
Lead and execute
end-to-end migration of SAP Commerce from On-Premise environments to SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) including:
- Environment setup and configuration in CCv2
- Codebase preparation for cloud deployment
- Refactoring legacy extensions for CCv2 compatibility
- Handling platform configuration differences between OnPrem and Cloud
Must Have Experience With
- Build pipeline adjustments
- Cloud deployment structure
- Cloud environment configuration
- Platform Upgrade Experience
Hands-on Experience Upgrading SAP Commerce Platforms Including
- Upgrade to SAP Commerce 2211
- Resolving deprecated APIs and platform changes
- Refactoring custom extensions
- Handling build failures during upgrade
Examples Of Upgrade Issues Expected Experience With
- Ant build failures
- Dependency conflicts
- Extension incompatibility

Execute
Java upgrade required for SAP Commerce modernization.
Expected Experience - Upgrading JDK versions used by SAP Commerce

- TLS/security changes
- build pipeline changes
- Media Migration Strategy
Design and execute Media Migration from On-Premise storage to Cloud storage.
Hands-on Experience Required With
- AZCopy for bulk media transfer
- Media storage configuration changes
- Validating media URLs after migration
- Handling broken media references
Expected Responsibilities
- Planning migration for millions of media assets
- Validating storefront media rendering
- Troubleshooting missing or corrupted media
- Database Migration & Synchronization
Hands-on experience with database synchronization and migration strategies.
Must Have Experience Using
Responsibilities Include
- Initial database migration
- Delta synchronization
- Data validation before production cutover
- Handling database inconsistencies
- Production Cutover Planning
Design And Execute Production Cutover Strategy Including
- Freeze window planning
- Final delta database sync
- Media delta migration
- DNS / endpoint switch
- Rollback strategy
Expected Experience With
- Coordinating multiple teams during go-live
- Monitoring during migration window
- Handling production rollback scenarios
- Troubleshooting Real Migration Issues
Candidate Must Have Experience Resolving Issues Such As
- Build failures after upgrade
- Environment configuration issues in CCv2
- Media links breaking after migration
- Database sync inconsistencies
- Performance degradation after migration
- Solr indexing issues post-migration
Required Experience
- 10+ years of software development experience
- 7+ years SAP Commerce (Hybris) development, Commerce developer certification highly preferred.
- At least one full SAP Commerce migration from On-Premise to CCv2
- Experience upgrading to SAP Commerce 2211
- Hands-on experience with:
- DBSync
- AZCopy
- Media migration
- Production cutover execution
