Job Purpose :
- Prepare and ensure timely submission of regulatory reports for Mashreq UAE, including Islamic reporting, in full compliance with CBUAE guidelines and prescribed reporting frequencies.
- Compute and report key prudential metrics, including Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Leverage Ratio, and Pillar III disclosures, ensuring accuracy and alignment with regulatory standards.
- Compile and submit regulatory returns for Mashreq subsidiaries to the CBUAE and Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA), maintaining completeness and adherence to applicable requirements.
Key Result Areas :
- Manage the preparation and timely submission of regulatory reports for Mashreq UAE, including Islamic reporting, ensuring full compliance with CBUAE requirements and prescribed reporting timelines.
- Produce and validate key prudential metrics, including Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Leverage Ratio, and Pillar III disclosures, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with regulatory standards.
- Oversee the compilation and submission of regulatory returns for Mashreq subsidiaries to the CBUAE and Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA), ensuring completeness and adherence to applicable guidelines.
- Lead cross‑functional coordination with Finance, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure data integrity, proactively resolve discrepancies, and enhance overall reporting quality.
- Provide functional leadership and guidance to junior team members, strengthening technical capability, reinforcing regulatory compliance standards, and driving consistent delivery.
- Act as a central liaison for internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on regulatory requirements, managing reporting changes, and supporting continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
- Operate within established SOPs to manage the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Technology, Finance, and Operations teams across jurisdictions to ensure timely availability, accuracy, and consistency of data for reporting purposes.
- Facilitate audit processes (internal and external) by coordinating data requests, addressing queries, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and governance standards.
- Strengthen coordination across functions and geographies by proactively identifying data or process gaps and driving resolution to enhance reporting efficiency and control effectiveness.
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage complex interdependencies across multiple stakeholders, particularly Technology and Operations teams, while ensuring alignment with regulatory reporting objectives.
- Capable of delivering high quality outcomes under tight regulatory timelines, managing competing priorities and operational pressures within a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Possesses strong expertise in data validation, reconciliation, and analytical review, with a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience :
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5+ years of relevant experience in the banking industry, preferably within regulatory reporting, finance, or risk functions.
- Demonstrates a strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail, enabling accurate interpretation, validation, and reporting of complex financial and regulatory data.
- Possesses advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting tools, to support efficient and accurate regulatory submissions.
