Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead QA strategy and execution across multiple eCommerce platforms and services.
- Architect and evolve scalable test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium with strong automation engineering practices.
- Define and implement quality metrics, test plans, and risk-based testing approaches to ensure measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to integrate testing seamlessly into Agile workflows.
- Drive in-sprint automation and shift-left testing practices to improve early defect detection.
- Oversee automation execution and ensure robust coverage for complex systems.
- Manage and mentor onshore/offshore QA teams, fostering ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to defect prevention strategies to reduce recurrence.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and introduce innovative testing solutions to improve reliability and delivery confidence.
- (Nice-to-have) Strengthen automation suites using Cucumber and Playwright Automation where applicable.
Skills Required:
- Strong experience in SDET roles with automation testing expertise
- Hands-on experience in Java for test automation development
- Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks
- Experience in designing and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks
- Knowledge of Cucumber (BDD framework) (nice-to-have)
- Experience with Playwright Automation for modern UI testing (nice-to-have)
- Strong understanding of Agile testing methodologies and shift-left testing
- Experience in risk-based testing and quality metrics definition
- Strong knowledge of API testing and end-to-end test coverage strategies
- Experience in CI/CD integration of automation suites
- Strong skills in root cause analysis and defect prevention techniques
- Experience in team leadership, mentoring, and QA governance
- Ability to collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Education: Any Post Graduation (Computer Engineering preferred)
