Role Overview:
The incumbent will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of digital learning programs and initiatives that align with BITS Pilani, Digital Learning Division’s Strategy. This role involves close collaboration with faculty, industry experts/subject matter experts, vendor partners, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders to ensure the effective deployment of high-quality online learning content.
Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Program Management and Delivery: Own the end-to-end delivery of digital learning program, ensuring alignment with programme objectives, timelines, budgets, and key milestones.
- Stakeholder, Vendor and Resource Management: Drive coordination across faculty, SMEs, internal teams, and external partners, while ensuring clear ownership, timely inputs, and effective vendor and resource management.
- Content Quality and Learning Experience: Ensure that content is academically sound, learner-focused, suitable for online delivery, and aligned with institutional quality and compliance standards.
- Technology, Platform and Program Governance: Ensure LMS and platform readiness, track program performance and learner engagement, and maintain clear reporting and governance.
- Monitoring, Analytics & Reporting: Track learner engagement, program performance, and completion metrics; analyze data to assess effectiveness and provide regular reports.
- Quality, Compliance & Standards: Ensure all content meets BITS Pilani - Digital and regulatory standards, including accessibility, academic integrity, and data privacy requirements.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Use program data, learner feedback, and emerging digital learning practices to improve quality, efficiency, scalability, and learner outcomes. Stay updated on emerging trends in digital learning, instructional technology, and adult learning best practices, and proactively recommend enhancements to existing programs
Skill and Ability Requirements
- Strong program and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple program simultaneously.
- Good understanding of digital learning content development, instructional design, media production, quality assurance, and LMS workflows.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
- Ability to bring clarity to changing or incomplete requirements.
- Sound judgement in balancing timelines, quality, cost, and learner experience.
- Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience managing risks, dependencies, escalations, and recovery plans.
- Strong ownership, attention to detail, and ability to work in fast pace environment
- The ideal candidate brings a strong background in program/project management, digital learning technologies, and adult learning principles, while maintaining high standards of content quality, learner engagement, and regulatory compliance.
Required Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in program management, project management, digital learning, content development, or educational production.
- Proven experience managing the end-to-end delivery of online courses, degree program, professional certificates, or similar learning products.
- Experience working with academic stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors.
- Experience managing project scope, budgets, statements of work, and vendor deliverables.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and digital content production tools.
- PMP, Agile, or an equivalent project management certification would be an advantage.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
