Job Title: Lead Product Engineer - AI

Job Purpose
We are looking for a Lead Product Engineer - AI to join our Product team. This is a senior role for someone equally comfortable building AI solution and providing technical leadership — an engineer with 6–9 years of hands-on AI experience who can guide execution, drive technical standards, and help build the reusable delivery engine that Myelin Foundry is working toward. You will work with the AI engineers embedded in the Product team, own technical delivery on customer engagements, and play a key role in shaping our productization model. Reporting to the Product Manager, you will work closely with the CTPO and the Technology team to operationalize novel AI capabilities into repeatable, deployable solutions. As an active member of the customer facing team, you will also be a key communication and stakeholder management interface, keeping customers informed, managing expectations, and ensuring delivery commitments are clearly understood both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
· AI Technical leadership in the Product team, providing technical direction, code reviews, and day-to-day mentorship
· Own technical scoping and estimation for customer engagements; translate business requirements into clear engineering plans
· Contribute directly to delivery including model integration, inference pipeline development, deployment, and optimization
· Define and enforce engineering standards: reproducibility, latency benchmarks, model performance thresholds, and documentation quality
· Lead or support rapid prototyping efforts for priority customer engagements
Delivery & Process
- Ensure reusable modules are well-structured, documented, and genuinely reusable
- Drive AI tooling adoption within the team: coding assistance, documentation, testing, and summarization workflows
- Collaborate with the Technology team using a defined maturity framework to evaluate readiness of AI capabilities for product delivery
Professional Experience
· 6–9 years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a technical lead or senior IC role
· Strong foundations across the AI stack: classical AI/ML, GenAI and LLMs, model development, inference optimization, MLOps, and deployment pipelines
· Experience with edge AI or memory-constrained deployment environments (automotive, industrial, or embedded systems)
· Proficiency with computer vision pipelines — detection, classification, segmentation, and tracking
· Strong proficiency in Python; working knowledge of C/C++ for performance-critical components
· Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent
· Familiarity with inference runtimes: TensorRT, ONNX, OpenVINO, or TFLite
· Comfortable owning delivery end-to-end: from requirement to a deployed, monitored system
· Experience with MLOps practices: experiment tracking, model versioning, CI/CD for ML pipelines
· Strong written and verbal communication; able to brief customers and write crisp technical documentation
Qualification
· Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
