A Lead Process Engineeroversees the design, optimization, and implementation of industrial production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. They lead engineering teams, manage project scopes/budgets, develop technical documentation (SOPs, PIDs), and troubleshoot, often using simulation software to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Process Design Optimization: Develop, analyze, and optimize production processes from conceptual design through startup.
Technical Leadership: Lead the technical aspects of projects, ensuring deliverables meet specifications, codes, and budgetary requirements.
Team Supervision: Mentor junior engineers, assign tasks, and review engineering work, including calculations and drawings.
Operational Support: Audit production lines, troubleshoot operational issues (RCA), and implement Lean manufacturing initiatives.
Project Management: Define scope, schedule resources, and manage vendor/contractor offers (TBE - Technical Bid Evaluation).
Safety Compliance: Ensure all processes adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards.
