Job Summary
The Lead Pipeline Engineer is a senior technical role responsible for the design, analysis, and execution of offshore and onshore pipeline projects. This position requires extensive expertise in subsea pipeline engineering, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to deliver projects in compliance with international standards and client expectations. The role involves guiding multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical excellence, and driving project success from conceptualization through execution.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Design Leadership: Lead design activities across all phases of offshore and onshore pipeline projects, ensuring compliance with industry codes and client requirements.
Technical Expertise: Provide advanced technical guidance in subsea pipeline engineering, including design reviews and adherence to DNV, ASME, BS, and API standards.
Engineering Deliverables: Prepare and validate mechanical design calculations, alignment sheets, plot plans, and project progress reports.
Hydraulic & Stress Analysis: Conduct hydraulic modeling (steady-state and transient), stress analysis using CAESAR II, and buckling analysis with ABAQUS, including seismic evaluations.
Material Management: Develop and review material specifications for line pipes, bends, fittings, and valves; prepare Bills of Materials (BOM).
Client & Contractor Interface: Represent the engineering team in client and contractor meetings, ensuring alignment and resolution of technical issues.
Team Development: Mentor junior engineers, coordinate with designers, and provide inputs for accurate pipeline drawings and schematics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore subsea pipeline design and analysis within the Oil & Gas industry.
Strong knowledge of international codes and standards: ASME B31.4, B31.8, API, DNV.
Proficiency in ABAQUS, MathCAD, CAESAR II, Pipeline Studio; working knowledge of Hysys is advantageous.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead pipeline engineering projects, manage multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical direction.
