Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Physical Design Engineer to join our semiconductor team in a hybrid role, based in Bengaluru South, with partial work-from-home flexibility. The engineer will be responsible for performing key physical design tasks such as floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, parasitic extraction, and constraint development. The role also involves working closely with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines, ensuring design quality through systematic verification methodologies, and collaborating on design optimization efforts.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Physical Design processes such as floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and parasitic extraction.
- Strong background in constraint development, static timing analysis, and physical verification (LVS, DRC).
- Experience with EDA tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, or Mentor Graphics for physical design tasks.
- Solid understanding of concepts including timing closure, power optimization, and signal integrity.
- Ability to analyze and resolve design-related issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, or Python for automation.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in semiconductor and VLSI design is a strong advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, teamwork capabilities, and attention to detail.
