We’re Hiring | Lead Physical Design Engineer
Kornair Capital is looking for a Lead Physical Design Engineer for an exciting opportunity in the semiconductor space.

Location: Bengaluru, India
Experience: 8–12 Years
Preferred Skills● Experience in leading small teams or mentoring engineers
● Exposure to advanced technology nodes (3nm, 5nm, etc.)
● Experience working with global semiconductor clients
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead end-to-end Physical Design implementation from Netlist to GDSII.
● Drive major implementation stages including Floorplanning, Placement, Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS), Routing, and Timing Closure.
● Work closely with RTL, Design Verification, DFT, and Signoff teams to ensure smooth design integration.
● Perform timing analysis and closure for complex high-performance designs.
● Handle power, area, and performance optimization during implementation.
● Resolve congestion, timing, and signal integrity issues during physical implementation.
● Guide and mentor junior engineers in physical design methodologies and best practices.
● Coordinate with CAD/Methodology teams for flow improvements and automation.
● Ensure design meets DRC, LVS, IR Drop, EM, and other signoff requirements.
● Drive tape-out readiness and support silicon bring-up if required.
Required Skills:
● Strong experience in Physical Design implementation flow.
● Hands-on experience with tools such as Synopsys ICC2, Fusion Compiler, or Cadence Innovus.
● Strong understanding of STA using PrimeTime or Tempus.
● Experience in low-power techniques, multi-voltage designs, and advanced nodes.
● Good knowledge of physical verification, DRC/LVS, and signoff checks.
● Experience with scripting (TCL, Perl, Python) is preferred.
● Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech in ECE, EE, or related field
