Job Description – Lead Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in AL development, extensions, integrations, and customizations, and will work closely with functional consultants and stakeholders to deliver scalable BC solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom extensions in Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL language
• Customize standard BC modules including Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, and Warehousing
• Develop and modify Reports (RDLC / Word) and XMLPorts
• Integrate Business Central with external systems using APIs, Web Services (REST/SOAP), and Azure services
• Perform upgrades and migrations from older NAV versions to Business Central
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance and functional issues
• Ensure best practices for extension-based development and code quality
• Support UAT, production deployment, and post-go-live support

Required Skills & Experience

• 13–15 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central development
• Strong expertise in AL language and Extension development
• Experience with Business Central SaaS and On-Prem
• Solid understanding of BC architecture and standard functionality
• Experience with Web Services, APIs, and integrations
• Knowledge/experience of Azure DevOps / Git for version control
• Experience with upgrade & data migration projects
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
