Position Title: Lead Microsoft Cloud Architect

Position Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Microsoft Cloud Architect to join our technology organization as a senior individual contributor.
This is a hands-on role for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong ownership and the ability to lead complex cloud and integration initiatives across a global business.
You will serve as a senior technical authority across our Microsoft ecosystem, with a focus on Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365, helping to strengthen our cloud foundation, improve consistency across environments, and support integrations as the organization grows.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building, migrating, integrating, and improving real-world environments, not just designing them.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a senior technical authority across Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive)
- Lead the design and execution of cloud, identity, and tenant integration initiatives across a multi-entity environment
- Perform and lead hands-on technical work, including migrations, tenant consolidation, identity restructuring, and platform improvements
- Architect and implement scalable, well-structured, and secure solutions across cloud and collaboration platforms
- Support technical due diligence and post-acquisition integrations, including assessments, migration planning, and execution
- Review existing environments, identify risks and inefficiencies, and drive improvements in structure, governance, and operational maturity
- Serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues across cloud, identity, and Microsoft services
- Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to translate business needs into practical and sustainable technical solutions
- Contribute to architecture documentation, standards, and repeatable implementation approaches
What We Are Looking For
- Deep, hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Azure (infrastructure, networking, governance)
- Microsoft Entra ID (identity, access, directory design)
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Proven experience delivering complex initiatives such as:
- Cloud and infrastructure migrations
- Tenant-to-tenant transitions
- Identity and access model redesign
- Platform consolidation and integration
- Strong foundation across networking and core technologies, including DNS, email flow, authentication, and access control models
- Ability to design and implement solutions that are secure, scalable, and operationally sound
- Experience working in environments with multiple entities, business units, or integrations is a strong advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills across multiple technical domains
- Clear communicator who can work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable operating with high ownership and autonomy in a senior individual contributor role
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting M&A integrations or technical due diligence processes
- Exposure to tenant consolidation or large-scale Microsoft environment standardization
- Familiarity with applying security best practices in enterprise cloud environments
- Experience aligning business applications with Microsoft-based platforms (identity, storage, collaboration)
- Microsoft certifications (Azure, identity, or architecture) are a plus
