Job details:
The Role
As a Lead Pneumatic Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for owning the design, analysis, and execution of complex pneumatic systems and mechanical design for high-performance platforms. You will bridge the gap between heavy-duty structural kinematics and high-pressure fluid dynamics to deliver field-deployable infrastructure. This role will primarily involve development of deployable mechanical assemblies.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
-
Education: M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering(Mandatory), from a Tier-1 Institute(Preferrable) (IITs, BITS, NITs, or global top 100).
-
Experience: 2–6 years of professional experience in mechanical system design or R&D environments. You must have proven capability for design & development of mechanical assemblies.
-
Expertise: Proven experience in engineering of Pneumatic Systems (including high-pressure line routing, valving, regulators, cylinders, and sealing mechanics).
-
Tool Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of 3D CAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS Fluent, MATLAB.
-
Rapid Prototyping: Strong capability to get prototype components ready in fast timeframes - whether through 3D printing or small batch fabrication to translate CAD designs into physical, functional hardware.
-
Technical Sourcing: Identify supply chain vendors, source components, and closely coordinate with manufacturing partners.
-
This is a "Builder" Requirement and not for Analysts: You must have physically proto-typed, built, and hands-on tested a mechanical system yourself.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience working with high-strength alloys, custom machining, pressure-vessel safety compliance, and generating GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) manufacturing drawings.
Application Requirement: Attach a Portfolio (PDF/Link) showing screenshots of CAD assemblies and physical hardware you have designed to help us shortlist good Engineers.
Benefits
Rewards Plus
-
Opportunity: To work in the hottest sector of technology today, and to work with cross-functional teams making emerging-tech systems. We are building high-speed autonomous systems, not optimizing ad-clicks or designing HVAC ducts.
-
Impact: You are joining an iDEX winner team building next-gen aerospace technologies. As we scale, you will see accelerated growth. The runway is clear for take-off.
-
Startup Vibe: This is a unique Firster’s Team opportunity to join 0-1 builders and help in building the company’s DNA.
The Compensation, Health, Wellness & Professional Development
-
Compensation: Competitive Market Salary + Performance-Based Incentive.
-
Comprehensive Allowances: Structured House Rent Allowance (HRA) and standard Conveyance Allowance.
-
Digital & Workplace Enablement: Dedicated allowances covering Mobile & Internet connectivity, and monthly fixed value food coupons.
-
Health & Wellness: Fixed Medical Allowance integrated into monthly compensation to support ongoing medical and wellness needs.
-
Continuous Growth: Direct reimbursement for Professional Development and technical certifications, as specified/applicable to the role.
-
Dynamic Work Culture in NCR: A collaborative, 'builder-first' environment in NCR (Gurgaon), which values institutional discipline alongside rapid startup innovation.
-
Field & Travel Support: On deployment for travel on project work(if applicable).
