Job Summary
We’re excited to welcome a highly motivated
Lead Mechanical Engineer to our dynamic team—someone who’s passionate about designing and analyzing
HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for large-scale, high-impact projects. Whether it’s transformative commercial spaces, vibrant multi-family communities, or soaring high-rises, your expertise will help shape the built environment of tomorrow. Bonus points if you’ve contributed to
K‑12 projects—we love seeing how your work supports learning environments!
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) for complex, high-performance building projects.
- Develop detailed construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates—ensuring clarity, accuracy, and value.
- Bring ideas to life using CAD and Revit to create efficient, code-compliant, and innovative designs.
- Visit project sites to inspect installations and ensure alignment with design intent and local building codes.
- Collaborate closely with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders—because great buildings are built on strong teamwork.
- Perform load calculations, energy analysis, and system sizing to optimize performance and sustainability.
- Ensure all designs meet or exceed US codes and standards (IBC mandatory), keeping safety and compliance front and center.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- 8–10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical system design—especially for large commercial, multi-family, or high-rise projects.
- Expertise in CAD and Revit—you speak the language of digital design fluently.
- Deep familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems—and how they integrate seamlessly into complex buildings.
- Mandatory experience with US codes and standards (IBC, International Building Codes)—you know the rules inside and out.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you listen, explain, and collaborate with ease.
- Experience with multi‑family buildings and high‑rise developments? That’s a big plus.
- Passion for or experience in green building design and sustainable practices? We’re all ears—and we’d love to learn from you.
- K‑12 project experience? Another bonus—especially if you’ve helped create healthier, safer spaces for students and educators.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Green Building Rating Systems (LEED, IGBC)—you understand how to design for impact beyond compliance.
- Experience with energy simulation software—you use data to drive smarter, more efficient outcomes.
