Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to design activities for Data Center, Industrial, Commercial, and Infrastructure projects across US and European regions. The candidate will be responsible for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection system design, BIM coordination, multidisciplinary collaboration, and ensuring compliance with international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and CIBSE. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in mechanical system design, BIM execution, sustainable engineering practices, and project coordination using industry-standard tools such as Revit MEP, Navisworks, HAP, and AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and engineering activities for Data Center, Industrial, Commercial, and Infrastructure projects.
- Design and review HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems in compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, CIBSE, and other international standards.
- Develop mechanical layouts, schematics, detailed engineering drawings, and construction documentation using Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
- Perform HVAC load calculations, duct sizing, piping design, and equipment selection.
- Manage BIM-based design coordination with Architectural, Structural, and Electrical disciplines.
- Conduct clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks and BIM 360.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to optimize building performance and project execution.
- Review project specifications, technical submissions, and deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and BIM modelers on best practices and technical execution.
- Provide technical leadership in sustainable and energy-efficient mechanical system designs.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure successful delivery.
- Support project management activities including scheduling, resource planning, risk assessment, and progress tracking.
- Stay updated with latest industry trends, BIM technologies, and international mechanical engineering standards.
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
- Strong expertise in HVAC system design, load calculations, ducting, chilled water systems, and piping layouts.
- Knowledge of international standards including ASHRAE, NFPA, CIBSE, and related codes.
- Hands-on experience in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project execution.
- Strong understanding of sustainable and energy-efficient building systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines effectively.

Qualification
