Role Description
We are looking for a strong and result-driven Lead / Manager – Business Development to drive lead generation, client acquisition, bench sales, and technical resource augmentation/offshoring business for our company. This role is ideal for a candidate who has solid experience in IT staff augmentation, bench sales, vendor partnership building, and direct client handling, and can take full ownership of business growth by closing opportunities for in-house and partner resources.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the internal team and take ownership of business development for IT resource augmentation and offshoring services.
- Generate new business leads and identify client opportunities for deploying in-house bench resources.
- Create demand for technical profiles such as AI Engineers, Data Engineers, Java Developers, Python Developers, Frontend Engineers, Full Stack Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and other relevant IT resources.
- Identify, approach, and convert direct clients for contract staffing, offshore development, and technical resource engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their technical hiring/resource needs, and position suitable profiles quickly.
- Take full ownership of the sales/business cycle including lead generation, client communication, requirement gathering, profile sharing, follow-up, negotiation, and closure.
- Establish and manage relationships with vendors, implementation partners, and staffing partners for both business opportunities and external bench sourcing.
- Coordinate with internal delivery/recruitment teams to ensure quick turnaround for client requirements.
- Source suitable technical bench resources from vendor/partner network when required resources are not available internally.
- Work in a target-driven environment and consistently achieve business growth, client acquisition, and revenue goals.
- Represent the company professionally in client discussions, partnership meetings, and business presentations.
- Support long-term account growth by maintaining client satisfaction and identifying repeat business opportunities.
Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in lead generation for technical resource augmentation / IT staff augmentation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in bench sales / bench selling.
- Strong hands-on experience in client acquisition, direct client handling, and business closure.
- Strong experience in technical resource offshoring / offshore staffing business.
- Good understanding of technical skill sets such as AI, Python, Java, Data Engineering, Data Science, Frontend, Backend, Cloud, DevOps, etc.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to independently handle clients and drive business discussions without heavy supervision.
- Proven capability to build relationships with vendors / partners and source bench resources externally when needed.
- Experience in working with targets, revenue goals, and business development KPIs.
- Good leadership capability and experience in handling or guiding a small BD / bench sales team.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage the business pipeline end-to-end.
Bonus (Good to Have):
- Existing network of direct clients, implementation partners, and staffing vendors in IT services / staffing domain.
- Experience working with domestic and international clients for contract staffing / offshore engagement models.
- Immediate joiner or available to start quickly.
