About the Role:
Qualcomm India is hiring a Camera & Computer Vision Systems Engineer to design and optimize advanced imaging, camera, and vision algorithms for next-generation mobile and embedded platforms. You’ll work across HW/SW teams to build high-performance, hardware-accelerated imaging solutions that power cutting-edge camera experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize camera, computer vision, and image processing algorithms for mobile and embedded SoCs.
- Work on camera pipeline development and camera feature enhancements.
- Prototype, benchmark, and tune algorithms for hardware acceleration and real-time performance.
- Collaborate with product and commercialization teams for camera pipeline optimization, performance profiling, and benchmarking.
- Contribute to Linux driver development, especially for camera subsystems and related peripherals.
- Support system validation, regression testing, and release readiness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s / PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields from top engineering institutes (e.g., IIT/NIT/IIIT or equivalent globally), with strong academic performance and a solid foundation in algorithms and systems.
Required Skills:
- 6–12 years of experience in Computer Vision, Camera Imaging, or Image Processing.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++, data structures, and algorithm development.
- Hands-on experience in camera technologies, camera development, imaging systems, or camera pipeline development.
- Experience with Linux driver development, preferably related to camera or multimedia subsystems.
- Exposure to ML/DL, embedded/ARM programming, SIMD optimizations, or accelerator-based architectures.
