Java Lead – Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java Lead to oversee the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Java with leadership skills to guide a team of developers, ensure best practices, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Java developers in designing, coding, testing, and deploying applications.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and stakeholders to define technical solutions.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes and team productivity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in Java development, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to front-end technologies (Angular, React, or Vue.js).
- Knowledge of message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to handle performance tuning and scalability challenges.
