About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in enterprise-level Java web application development, with a strong focus on Spring and microservices architecture. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting scalable APIs and backend systems, ensuring seamless integration across various platforms and data sources. The Technical Specialist will work closely with clients, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that align with business objectives. Additionally, the role requires hands-on experience with cloud deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring tools to maintain high performance and reliability of enterprise applications.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in Java enterprise development. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in Java 1.8, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and microservices architecture. Experience with cloud platforms such as PCF or AWS, along with knowledge of deployment and scaling strategies, is essential. Familiarity with tools like Maven, JIRA, and open-source libraries is required. Additional preferred skills include experience with Newrelic, Splunk, CICD processes, and Agile methodologies. Strong communication, presentation, and team leadership skills are vital for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support enterprise-level J2EE-based web applications, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Create and optimize reusable APIs to facilitate interaction between different software systems.
- Integrate APIs with existing data and software systems, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
- Work extensively with Spring framework components, including Spring Boot and Spring Batch, to develop robust backend services.
- Deploy applications in Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or AWS environments, ensuring smooth deployment and operation.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, integration, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and frontend developers to define integration strategies and technical specifications.
- Provide production support for microservices-based applications, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements.
- Design and implement application monitoring and alerting using tools like Newrelic and Splunk to ensure system health and performance.
- Lead and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Manage onshore and offshore development teams, ensuring delivery timelines and quality standards are met.
- Participate actively in Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, contributing to planning, execution, and review phases.
