Role Description
Senior ServiceNow ITSM Developer
Role Summary
We are looking for a
Senior ServiceNow ITSM Developer who brings deep hands on technical expertise across the ServiceNow ITSM suite and can independently design, build, and optimize robust solutions aligned with ITSM best practices. This role requires a
seasoned, self driven professional who can take ownership of complex development initiatives while collaborating closely with architects, consultants, and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will combine
strong technical depth,
process awareness, and
solution quality discipline, and will be comfortable explaining technical decisions and trade offs to both technical and non technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow ITSM Development & Configuration
- Design, develop, and enhance ServiceNow ITSM solutions across:
- Incident, Problem, Change
- Request Management & Catalog
- Knowledge Management
- CMDB & Service Mapping (as applicable)
- Build high quality customizations using:
- Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies
- Script Includes, Flow Designer, Workflows
- Notifications, SLAs, ACLs, Forms, and UI Actions
- Ensure solutions are scalable, performant, supportable, and aligned with platform best practices
Automation & Optimization
- Leverage Flow Designer and IntegrationHub to automate ITSM workflows
- Optimize existing implementations for:
- User experience
- Operational efficiency
- Maintainability and performance
- Contribute to continuous improvement and platform optimization initiatives
Experience
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in ServiceNow development
- 6+ years of hands on experience implementing ServiceNow ITSM modules
- Experience working in large enterprise or multi stakeholder environments
Technical Skills
- Strong JavaScript skills (ServiceNow server side and client side scripting)
- Deep expertise in ITSM data model, SLAs, workflows, and automation
- Experience with ACLs, security model, and performance optimization
- Solid understanding of CMDB concepts and dependencies
- Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP, IntegrationHub - preferred)
