Role Description
Application Support Job Summary
The Senior Integration & Revenue Systems Engineer / Scrum Master is responsible for the
operational stability, integration reliability, and close critical processing of enterprise revenue recognition and financial systems, while also serving as the
Scrum Master for finance aligned delivery teams operating under SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
This role combines
hands on technical ownership of Zuora Revenue and PeopleSoft Finance systems with
agile execution leadership, ensuring delivery predictability, removal of impediments, and alignment to Program Increment (PI) objectives across Record to Report (R2R), Banking, and Revenue Recognition workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as technical owner for Zuora Revenue operations supporting US and Canada revenue recognition.
- Execute and monitor Month End Close and Open processes, including: Period close/open, Data catch up and recovery, Transfer Accounting and Data Collect jobs
- Manage Zuora job queues and enforce operational controls during close windows.
- Coordinate with Zuora vendor support to resolve close impacting incidents.
- Provide clear, timely close status communications to Revenue Recognition and Finance stakeholders.
- Provide technical support for PeopleSoft Finance integrations, including: Accounts Receivable (AR), Revenue and accounting feeds
- Monitor and validate PeopleSoft batch jobs and integrations, particularly during month end and quarter end close.
- Troubleshoot reconciliation issues between PeopleSoft, Zuora Revenue, and downstream reporting platforms.
- Coordinate DR exercises, job pushes, and production recovery activities with PeopleSoft development and infrastructure teams.
- Serve as primary technical coordinator for Month End Close activities across: Zuora Revenue, PeopleSoft Finance, Vertex
- Ensure correct sequencing, execution, and recovery of close critical jobs.
- Support Finance and Accounting teams with timing guidance, issue resolution, and post close validation.
- Serve as Scrum Master for finance aligned delivery teams (e.g., RevRec, R2R, Banking, Collections).
- Facilitate core agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives
- Ensure teams follow SAFe and Agile best practices while adapting to operational finance realities.
- Support PI Planning, including: Capacity planning, Dependency identification, Risk and impediment escalation
- Actively identify and remove team level impediments, especially those impacting: Financial close, Regulatory deadlines, Cross system integrations
- Escalate risks and dependencies that threaten delivery timelines or operational stability.
- Balance delivery commitments with production support and close critical responsibilities.
- Act as Tier 2 / Tier 3 escalation point for finance critical production incidents.
- Lead incident triage and recovery during close cycles and high risk windows.
- Ensure incidents are documented with root cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Ensure finance systems and agile delivery processes align with SOX and audit requirements.
- Maintain operational and delivery documentation, including: Close runbooks ,Recovery procedures, Agile delivery artifacts (objectives, risks, dependencies)
- Support audits by explaining system behavior, job execution, and delivery controls.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience supporting Zuora Revenue (RevRec) production environments
- Hands on experience with PeopleSoft Finance systems and integrations
- Strong understanding of: Revenue recognition processes, Month end / quarter end close, R2R accounting flows
- Experience with batch processing, integration monitoring, and data validation
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a SAFe or scaled agile environment
- Strong understanding of: SAFe ceremonies and roles, PI Planning and execution, Cross team dependency management
- Ability to coach teams on agile principles while supporting operational finance constraints
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Agilist (SA) certification
- Experience operating in SOX controlled finance environments
- Prior experience supporting ERP or Revenue Recognition platforms
- Strong operational documentation and runbook ownership
- Strong ownership mindset with ability to lead under pressure
- Excellent stakeholder communication, especially during close cycles
- Ability to balance project delivery and production operations
- Calm, structured decision making in high visibility situations
- Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
Mandatory Skills
