Background
Role
This role is for a
AI Engineer who uses an existing multi agent orchestration platform to build agentic applications and re design business critical workflows. You won t be inventing the orchestration layer; you ll be operating it like a high leverage control plane:
- Framing the right problems.
- Designing workflows and blueprints for AI agents.
- Reviewing and hardening the solutions they generate.
- Embedding those solutions into real systems with real data, constraints, and controls.
We re looking for an individual who can operate like a
self contained force multiplier able to take a domain, a workflow, and a set of tools and turn them into a durable agentic system.
The best people in this role will think like systems engineers, communicate like product managers, and lead like tech leads:
- Systems engineer: models interactions, failure modes, and feedback loops across services, data, and teams.
- Product manager: clarifies outcomes, constraints, and tradeoffs with stakeholders and writes crisp specs agents can actually execute.
- Tech lead: sets technical direction, enforces quality, and mentors both humans and agents through reviews and design feedback.
What You Ll Do
- Frame problems with stakeholders (trading, engineering, data, operations, risk/finance, product): identify high value workflows, clarify constraints/SLAs, and define what good looks like.
- Design agent workflows: decompose messy problems into well scoped tasks, define roles (planner, implementer, reviewer, analyst, SRE/ops), and write crisp prompts, acceptance criteria, and guardrails.
- Think in systems: treat workflows as systems, not scripts building in observability, failure handling, and iteration from day one.
Qualifications
Must have
- Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, complexity, distributed systems basics, concurrency, networking, and database fundamentals.
- 5-7+ years of software engineering experience building and operating backend or data intensive systems in production.
- 2+ years of real world LLM/AI tooling experience, for example:
- Using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Sourcegraph Cody (or similar) to design, write, refactor, and review production code and tests.
- Building internal tools or workflows that programmatically call LLM APIs (tool/function calling, RAG, code generation, documentation, or data workflows).
- Proficiency in at least one major language (Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, or similar) and modern cloud/dev tooling (AWS/Azure/GCP, containers, CI/CD, monitoring).
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Decompose ambiguous problems into clear, agent executable tasks.
- Write crisp specs, prompts, and acceptance criteria.
- Review and harden AI generated work for correctness, safety, and performance.
