Role Description
The D365 Integration Architect is responsible for defining and governing the integration architecture around Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Finance & Supply Chain Management for healthcare organizations across the USA and India. The role ensures secure, scalable, and compliant integrations between D365 and surrounding clinical, financial, and operational systems in complex multi‑entity environments
Key Responsibilities
Own the end‑to‑end integration architecture for D365 in business scenarios, covering design, standards, patterns, and governance.
Translate business requirements into integration designs, covering data flow, interfaces, messaging models, error handling, monitoring, and security.
Design and oversee integrations between D365 and other enterprise applications using APIs, DMF, dual‑write, and middleware.
Define and implement integration patterns leveraging Azure services (e.g., Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions, API Management), ESB/iPaaS platforms, and standard healthcare protocols where applicable.
Collaborate with Solution Architects and Functional Leads to ensure integration designs align with overall solution architecture, non‑functional requirements, and regulatory constraints.
Lead integration discovery and design workshops with business and IT stakeholders in the USA and India, documenting interface contracts, SLAs, and operational responsibilities.
Define data integration and migration strategy including master data synchronization, financial and operational data loads, cutover sequencing, and reconciliation approaches.
Establish and enforce integration standards, naming conventions, security models, and reusable patterns across programmes and products.
Oversee technical design, development, and unit testing of integration components, reviewing deliverables from internal teams and/or partners for quality and compliance.
Define and implement monitoring, logging, ing, and exception‑handling mechanisms for mission‑critical healthcare integrations, supporting high availability and resilience.
Support performance testing and optimization of integrations to ensure acceptable response times and throughput for peak clinical and operational periods.
Work closely with security and compliance teams to ensure integrations adhere to organisational policies and applicable regulations (e.g., data privacy, access controls, audit trails).
Provide integration leadership across the programme lifecycle, supporting SIT, UAT, cutover, and hypercare activities, including root‑cause analysis for integration‑related incidents.
Contribute to pre‑sales by shaping integration‑heavy solution proposals, estimation, risk identification, and technical sections of RFP/RFI responses for healthcare clients.
Mentor and guide integration engineers, developers, and consultants across USA and India teams, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
Required Experience (13–15 Years)
13–15 years of overall IT experience with at least 8–10 years focused on Microsoft Dynamics integrations.
Minimum 3–5 years in an Integration Architect / Technical Architect role on large D365 programmes, preferably in healthcare or life‑sciences.
Strong experience designing and implementing integrations with third party platforms, and payer/TPA systems.
Proven experience with integrations in multi‑entity, multi‑country environments, including projects involving USA and/or India healthcare organisations.
Hands‑on experience with Azure integration technologies (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions, Event Grid, API Management) and/or other integration platforms (ESB, iPaaS).
Solid track record in end‑to‑end data migration and ongoing data synchronisation between D365 and external systems.
Experience working in regulated environments with strong audit, security, and uptime requirements (e.g., large hospitals, healthcare groups, or payers).
Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; healthcare IT or integration‑related certifications are an advantage.
Deep understanding of D365 data model and integration mechanisms (DMF, OData, custom services, dual‑write, Power Platform‑based integrations).
Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous, event‑driven, pub/sub, batch, file‑based) and microservices‑oriented architectures.
Familiarity with healthcare business processes and data types: patient and encounter‑related information, charge capture, billing, claims, contracts, procurement of medical supplies, and inventory management.
Good understanding of data privacy and security principles relevant to healthcare, including segregation of clinical vs financial data, encryption, and secure API design.
Proficiency with CI/CD practices for integration components using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues across multiple systems.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to non‑technical stakeholders and collaborate with global teams (USA and India).
Behavioral Competencies
Strong ownership and accountability for integration quality, stability, and performance in mission‑critical healthcare environments.
Customer‑centric mindset with focus on patient safety, operational continuity, and financial accuracy when designing and changing integrations.
Ability to work effectively with cross‑cultural, distributed teams and manage expectations across time zones.
Proactive, structured, and documentation‑oriented working style, with a continuous learning attitude towards D365, Azure, and healthcare technology trends.
