Role Description
Job Title: QA Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automation frameworks, Playwright, and TypeScript, along with a solid foundation in manual testing practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product releases by implementing effective test strategies and maintaining robust test automation.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for web and API applications.
Perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
Create and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business requirements.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
Perform defect tracking, root cause analysis, and verification of bug fixes.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
Contribute to code reviews and promote automation best practices.
Continuously evaluate and adopt new testing tools and technologies.
Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and SDLC methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience
5-7 years of experience in Software Testing (Manual + Automation)
Strong experience with Playwright and TypeScript
Solid understanding of manual testing techniques (test case design, defect lifecycle, exploratory testing)
Good programming knowledge in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, QA processes, and SDLC
Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize automation scripts
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred / Good To Have
Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and cloud-native testing environments
Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behave, etc.)
Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
Exposure to SQL and database testing
Experience with containerized or cloud-based test environments
