Role Description
Role Summary
The Test Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, executing, and stabilizing automated test scripts using
Panaya Test Automation for SAP landscapes. This role ensures optimal use of
Panaya Automation tool for automation, productivity improvement, and predictable execution outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Panaya Test Automation tool for SAP / S/4 HANA environments
- Identify automation scope using Panaya Impact Analysis
- Convert manual regression test cases into reusable automated scripts
- Execute automation suites across various environments
- Plan and track phase-wise automation targets across multiple environments
- Lead and mentor a team of Panaya Automation Engineers
- Review automation scripts, execution results and stabilization activities
- Analyze script failures and provide solutions to stabilize scripts
- Own regression execution governance and automation metrics
- Act as the primary automation point of contact for SAP, BASIS, and business stakeholders
- Provide comprehensive reporting on automation coverage, quality, and readiness
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–8 years of SAP Testing experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Panaya Test Automation
- Strong experience in SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation programs
- Strong understanding of SAP business processes (SD, MM, FI, HR, etc.)
- Proven experience leading automation teams
- Strong stakeholder communication and team management skills
