Role Description
Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Developer - Portal Development & UI Builder
Experience: 5-7
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise in
Service Portal development and UI Builder (Next Experience). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing intuitive, scalable user interfaces and delivering seamless user experiences, along with solid knowledge of ITSM, integrations, and advanced scripting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop ServiceNow Service Portal and UI Builder (Next Experience UI) solutions
- Build and customize widgets using AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow APIs
- Develop modern, responsive interfaces using UI Builder, UI Framework, and components
- Enhance user experience (UX) for portals including Employee Center / Customer portals
- Configure and support ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog)
- Develop client-side and server-side scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts)
- Build integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Server
- Implement workflows and automation using Flow Designer
- Ensure performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
- Collaborate with UX designers, product owners, and stakeholders
- Troubleshoot UI issues and ensure seamless backend integration
- Maintain coding standards and participate in code reviews
Required Skills & Qualifications: - 5-7 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development
- Strong expertise in:
- Service Portal development
- UI Builder (Next Experience)
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS
- Strong experience with ServiceNow scripting (Glide APIs)
- Good knowledge of ITSM modules
- Experience in building integrations (REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server)
- Hands-on experience with Flow Designer and workflows
- Understanding of responsive design and UX best practices
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM)
- Experience with Employee Center / Workspace development
- Knowledge of UI Framework (Now Experience Framework)
- Experience with Performance Analytics and dashboards
- Familiarity with ITIL processes
