Role Description
Cloud Engineer, Vitera
We re looking for a Cloud Engineer who s ready to take the next step in their career. You ll be part of a cross-functional team using modern web technologies and cloud platforms to build user-friendly applications and services that matter.
This role is ideal for someone with solid full stack experience who s excited to build, learn, and grow in a collaborative, agile environment.
Accountabilities
- Write clean, efficient code using Node.js, React.js, and TypeScript/JavaScript
- Build and maintain secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- Work with AWS services like Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and IAM
- Develop dynamic front-end interfaces using React and Redux
- Support integrations with PostgreSQL/Aurora databases
- Contribute to sprint planning, technical reviews, and documentation
- Partner with designers and product managers to turn ideas into working software
- Collaborate with DevOps on building automation and CI/CD workflows (e.g. GitLab CI)
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, CIS or related field or equivalent work experience required. Military experience will be considered in lieu of formal degree.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Requires familiarity with AWS and cloud-native development, including some practical, hands-on experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React.js
- Experience with API design, authentication (JWT, OAuth), and best security practices
- Working knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL and version control tools (e.g. Git)
- Comfort with Agile practices and tools like Jira/Confluence
