About The Role
The Workday Payroll, Absence and Time tracking functional Consultant will be our key team player for our Workday Engagements. You will be involved in all phases of Implementation, AMS Support and Delivery across UST customers.
The Opportunity And Responsibilities
- Experience in all stages of the Workday project lifecycle, from planning and design phases through testing and deployment for Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking
- Actively owns and leads small to large deliverables
- Manages self and team member(s) work to project scope, timeline, risk and budget.
- Coordinates with others when applicable.
- Listens to client requests, assesses actual client needs, provides subjective matters expertise, proposes alternatives and recommends solution(s).
- Frequently discusses, and can articulate to clients, lessons learned from previous client experience.
- Manages client expectations.
- Proactively identify trouble spots for clients and recommend solutions.
- This significantly contributes to the development of internal resources via mentoring, coaching and directing work.
- Participates in building the UST Brand by participating in Workday ecosystem product groups/chats and contributes advanced thinking and sharing of ideas within the ecosystem.
- Uses strong presentation, communication, listening and consultative skills to guide and drive discussions.
What you must have:
- You have or were Workday certified in one or more HCM modules
- Bachelor s Degree or 4-year, master s degree Preferred (Not Mandatory)
- Total 6+ years of relevant Workday hand-on experience, and minimum of 3+ years across Payroll, Absence and/or Time Tracking domains
- Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, while not losing focus on quality
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively manage client expectations
- Ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams
- Ideally previously certified in Workday Payroll and other related modules
- Previous configuration experience preferred either as an internal consultant or with a consulting / software organization
- Proven consultative skills to guide clients and internal discussions to agreement of solutions in a timely manner
- Experience implementing complex, practical business solutions under multiple deadlines
- Able to prioritize and organize increasingly complex work to ensure overall timeliness and quality standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to frequent changes
- Demonstrated advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint
- Exhibits problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting issues and escalates as appropriate
- Demonstrated commitment and achievement to delivery excellence and client satisfaction
- Proven experience, demonstrating initiative and curiosity to build skills in other areas by leveraging available training and Workday documentation
- Experience defining global HR business and systems strategy, developing system requirements, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines Bonus points if:
- Prior experience in related HRMS (e.g. Oracle, Peoplesoft) in delivery or AMS/post-production support capacity is an added advantage.
