Role Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Data Engineer / Data Specialist with
8+ years of expertise in data integration, ETL development, and enterprise database technologies.
The ideal candidate must have strong hands‑on experience with
SQL Server, SSIS, Sybase, and Python, along with a proven track record in building and supporting large‑scale data pipelines and data platforms in an
Agile environment.

- Data Engineering & ETL Development
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Build and optimize large-scale data extraction, transformation, and loading pipelines
- Implement source-to-target mappings, data transformation logic, and validation rules
- Manage incremental and full loads, ensuring robust error handling and logging
- Database Development & SQL
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
- Perform query performance tuning and effective indexing strategies
- Work with SQL Server and Sybase in production environments
- Support database deployments, data refreshes, and troubleshoot issues
- Python & Automation
- Use Python for automation, data processing, and validation
- Develop utilities for data quality checks and reconciliations
- Integrate Python-based processes with ETL and database workflows
- Data Quality, Performance & Support
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot data issues
- Support production data operations, including on‑call rotations
- Follow ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management
- Agile & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with business analysts, application teams, and QA teams
- Document ETL designs, dataflows, and operational procedures

- Experience using JIRA or similar tools
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for data workloads
- Databases: SQL Server, Sybase

- 8+ years in data engineering, ETL, or database development
- Strong understanding of enterprise data architectures
