Role Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior MicroStrategy (MSTR) Developer with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience in BI development. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience working with MicroStrategy and foundational capabilities in database development. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, documents, and visualizations.
• Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
• Design and implement schemas, attributes, metrics, and filters within MicroStrategy.
• Perform data modeling and work with database objects to support BI solutions.
• Optimize SQL queries and BI components for performance and scalability.
• Conduct unit testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for BI deliverables.
• Support data integration and work closely with ETL / data engineering teams.
• Ensure adherence to BI development best practices and documentation standards.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3-4 years of hands-on experience with MicroStrategy development.
• Strong knowledge of MicroStrategy Architect, Developer, and Web.
• Experience building reports, dashboards, and dossiers.
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  
  

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with ETL tools or data integration workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Understanding of performance tuning for BI applications.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
