Role Overview
We are looking for a Lead Graphic Designer to lead the creative direction and execution of design projects across books, academic learning materials, and digital content. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in design tools and experience in handling and mentoring a design team while ensuring high-quality creative output.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of graphic designers, providing guidance and creative direction
- Design and oversee the production of books, workbooks, academic learning materials, and marketing creatives
- Ensure design quality, brand consistency, and adherence to company guidelines
- Plan project timelines and allocate design tasks within the team
- Collaborate with content, curriculum, product, and marketing teams to convert concepts into visual designs
- Develop templates and design systems for recurring educational products
- Use modern and AI-based tools to improve design workflows and productivity
- Communicate project progress, timelines, and challenges with internal stakeholders
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign (especially for books and long-form layouts)
- Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing is an added advantage
- Experience in designing books, publications, or academic learning materials
- Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and visual hierarchy
- Good knowledge of AI-powered design tools
- Proven experience in team handling and project management
- Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously
