About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant to lead the accounting function and strengthen financial discipline across the organization. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on improving financial accuracy, strengthening governance, building scalable accounting systems, and preparing the organization for future IPO readiness.
The ideal candidate should be hands-on, process-oriented, and comfortable managing accounting complexities in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
Historical Financial Clean-up & Book Closure
Review and streamline historical financial records across business entities Identify and resolve accounting gaps, unreconciled balances, legacy issues, and incorrect entries Lead clean-up and reconciliation of: Vendor balances Customer balances Advances and deposits Inter-company accounts Fixed assets Inventory accounting (where applicable) Revenue recognition issues GST and TDS reconciliations Ensure prior years’ books are accurate, audit-ready, and well-supported with documentation
Financial Reporting & Monthly Closure
Drive timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures Ensure accuracy and completeness of: Profit & Loss Statements Balance Sheet Cash Flow Statements MIS and management reporting Reduce month-end closing timelines through process improvements Maintain robust accounting schedules and supporting documentation
IPO Readiness & Financial Governance
Drive timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures Ensure accuracy and completeness of: Profit & Loss Statements Balance Sheet Cash Flow Statements MIS and management reporting Reduce month-end closing timelines through process improvements Maintain robust accounting schedules and support documentation
Audit Management
Lead and manage:Statutory auditsInternal auditsTax auditsDue diligence auditsEnsure timely resolution of audit observations and queriesImprove audit preparedness and documentation standards
Compliance Management
Ensure compliance with: Companies Act GST regulations TDS requirements Income Tax laws ROC filings Other applicable statutory compliances Coordinate effectively with external consultants, auditors, and regulatory stakeholders
Process Improvement & Automation
Improve accounting workflows and financial processesStrengthen ERP controls and system disciplineDrive automation in reconciliations, reporting, and accounting operationsReduce dependency on manual processesBuild scalable finance systems to support future business growth
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified Chartered Accountant (Mandatory) 10–15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience Strong expertise in: Financial controllership Audit readiness Historical book clean-up Process transformation Statutory and tax compliance Experience in startup or high-growth environments preferred Exposure to IPO preparation or listed-company reporting preferred Strong ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, ERP Next, Tally, NetSuite, etc.) Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and drive execution in a dynamic environment
