As a Lead Mechanical Engineer in Completions, Wellbore Construction and Interventions Product Lines (CWI) with primary focus of designing and documenting product changes to meet custom customer requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to product performance activities, and ensure engineering excellence through quality, compliance, and innovation. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and ownership of engineering deliverables.
As a
Lead Engineer, Product Performance Engineering -Mechanical, you will also be responsible for:
- Translating technical requirements into a complete design in the CWI Product Line. Manage multiple requests to ensure delivery meets customer needs and delivery requirements. Verify that each design is functional, manufacturable, and reliable. Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools, primarily SolidWorks. Perform engineering analyses including stress, fatigue, thermal, and tolerance studies. Understand the selection of Material Grades to meet customer and industry requirements.
- Ensuring all designs and drawings comply with company standards and industry codes, such as API (American Petroleum Institute) and ISO, particularly regarding tolerance and material specifications.
- Maintaining proper document control, versioning, and generation of Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Ensuring client needs are met with product requirements. Efficiently convey technical information to both internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Applying Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) standards in all activities

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited university or college.
- Have 5 years of work experience in Oil and Gas industry, preferably in Downhole Completions technologies.
- Have Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Have Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Should be Proficient in SolidWorks.
- Have experience in design and analysis through academic or professional projects.
- Have Knowledge of Detailing, Materials, and standard Manufacturing processes.
- Have Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Optional Qualifications
- Have experience with simulation tools such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
- Have familiarity with PLM systems.
- Have knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, molding).
- Have understanding of quality tools such as FMEA or root cause analysis.
